Musical Playground
one of my first ideas concerning the playground was a "musical playground". each interactive playground prop could be augmented with a sound output, so each one plays one instrument/track, altogether forming the playground band. this would include all goals i actually was aiming at:
- generating collaboration
- generating playfulness
- interaction with fun (lasting longer than 2 minutes)
- and unexpected output.
the idea seemed so obvious that i skipped it immediately, at first (also because i am a little bit bored of all the interactive, tangible digital sound-interfaces which rarely seem any improvements towards real instruments).
but the connection of playground and music seems interesting enough and i don't think it has been done, so here a video sketch to communicate the idea.
having done this i'm pretty sure this installation would be lots of fun.
thanks to all helpers (evelyn, jing, filippos, frederic, gunnar and markus) and to jussi for supporting the idea.
